Entries Now Closed!

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all the talented filmmakers who shared your vision of “The South Africa they want – 30 years on” with us. Your creativity, passion, and dedication have truly embodied the spirit of this competition.

The Young Voices competition is now officially closed.

We are excited and overwhelmed by the number and quality of entries received from young South Africans across the country. It has been an inspiring journey to witness the natural creative talent that flourishes within our nation.

Each entry has contributed to a mosaic of hopeful visions for our country’s future, reflecting the diverse aspirations and dreams of our young voices. We are excited to move to the next phase of carefully evaluating your work. The task ahead is immense, but we are committed to honouring your efforts with the attention and respect they deserve.

To those who have submitted their films, thank you for taking the leap and joining us in this celebration of young voices. Your stories have not only contributed to the competition but have also sown seeds for the narrative of our nation, 30 years on.

Stay tuned for updates on the judging process and announcements of the festival where we will celebrate and award the top entrants with a range of prizes, including a bursary and an internship on a local production.

Thank you once again for your participation and for making the Young Voices competition a resounding success. Your voices are the future, and we are honoured to have been a part of this journey with you.
