Sari Ruda

Ruda has built a dynamic career at the intersection of storytelling, cross-cultural collaboration, and economic development in the creative industries. Her expertise spans business development, B2B marketing, communications, and production across Film, TV, Videogames, Animation, and Music. She works closely with public and private sector clients, engaging with government agencies in Canada and internationally, as well as film, television, arts, culture, and tourism organizations.

In the early 2000s, Ruda co-founded Corsair Entertainment with her husband, Bill Marshall, founder of TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival). She has produced a range of projects and continues to develop feature films and series. Together, they launched the Niagara Integrated Film Festival (NIFF) and the Vortex Videogame Conference and Competition to grow Ontario’s emerging videogame entrepreneurs. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in the industry development of the Italian Contemporary Film Festival (ICFF) in Toronto.

For the past seven years, Ruda has led the development of the Canadian Council on Africa’s Creative Entertainment Industries division. This initiative fosters collaboration between Canadian and African film, TV, and digital media professionals, supporting economic development and trade missions. Through her work, Ruda continues to champion global creative partnerships and industry growth.
