Naledi Bogacwi
Masters degree graduate Naledi Bogacwi is a multi-disciplinary producer whose work both on film and stage has earned the recognition of the most coveted organisations in both industries. Naledi paved her way as an award-winning film Producer and Writer when her first work as a producer Letters of Hope earned the Artistic Bravery Award at the 40th DIFF.
Naledi Bogacwi’s 2nd feature film as a producer titled Surviving Gaza won 3 Africa Academy Awards. She is a Durban Film Mart Alumni of 2021 where she won Best Fiction which was awarded by the National Film and Video Foundation. Naledi participated at the Carthage Lab 2021 and her project was awarded a cash prize for development. She is also a Rotterdam Producers Lab alumnus of 2022. In 2023 Naledi Produced the adaption of the Letters of Hope into a musical play which premiered at the South African State Theatre. In 2024 Naledi Bogacwi made her debut as a director with the historically significant documentary Banned.
