Gullible Thulile turns 7 and wants to do something alone. Her mother Zipho is always protective of her and hardly allows her to play with other kids or go anywhere alone. On this day, Thulile convinces her mom that she’s ready to go to the shop alone. Zipho reluctantly agrees; she needs sugar to bake Thulile’s cake. Thulile leaves with Zipho’s strict instructions. She promises to go straight to the shop and return with sugar. However, Thulile gets distracted on the way and is lured by cunning Swazi (10). Thulile will regret trusting Swazi and allowing herself to be distracted as she loses the money, the map her mom gave her and gets lost before she even reaches the shop. Thulile learns that allowing distraction can sway you off course and off purpose. Luckily, his mom and her search party find Thulile and she comes back home to enjoy the cake Zipho baked for her.
