Dream Boy Blues
DREAM BOY BLUES observes a boy's attempt to exercise courage and save himself through the use of his imagination - which is sparked by the fish and crab he finds in the sea at the beach. The world to which he is forced to return, before he can finish his imaginary fight, reveals why he needs to face his fears and save himself. It's the so-called "adult world", which looks mad from the outside. It's an aggressive world manufactured by those having or desiring money and power. A world created and inhabited by people who all look the same and can only laugh at the boy, forcing him to keep his adventure a secret as he is pushed back to shore. He looks foolish to them. His mind remains in the ocean with the fish and crab, with nature. The community appears indifferent to nature. Ironically, it's the community endorsing an aggressive world which forces onto the boy the idea that they are his protectors.
