A Beautiful Mess

The film explores the concept of “the curse of creativity“ or rather the spectrum of creativity through the lens of multiple creatives, focusing on their state of minds as they manuvour the different phases of creativity. The creation of art is a beautiful thing, this phrase in itself is an embedded value in the creative industry and our society at large, so much of the beauty, the final products, the greatest album released, the oscar nominated film, the breathtaking dresses on the red carpet , the number one bestselling novel, the highly anticipated opening night theatre performance. All of this and more are glamourised and no light is shone on the “trust the process“ stages of creation. What the film explores is both sides of the spectrum of creativity, the curse, the mess, the beauty and fulfilment it comes with.
