Mosibudi Pheeha

Mosibudi Pheeha is a growing dynamic force in the Africa media landscape, currently serving as the Acting Channel Director for Multi Choice’s Eastern and Southern African Channels catering for 12 countries across the continent (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Angola, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland) with 13 channels servicing both DTT and DTH.

In 2012, Nicola joined kykNET as a Commissioning Editor, where she quickly distinguished herself and rose to the position of Senior Manager. Her dedication and strategic vision led to further advancement within the organisation. Adding to her impressive portfolio, she was appointed as the acting executive overseeing content for MultiChoice’s streamer, Showmax in 2024.

She leads innovative channel and content strategies that is revitalizing programming ensuring relevance and engagement with viewers.
Her journey began as a co-writer and producer for South Africa’s foreign film submission to the 88th Academy Awards in 2016. Highlighting socio-economic issues faced by South African youth.
Holding a BA: Honours Degree in Film from AFDA, Mosibudi cultivated a rich tapestry of experience in broadcasting and television. She has invaluable experience in channel creation and launching as she joined M-net as a content executive and was part of the team that launched M-net’s 1st Portuguese channel: Jango Magic, this was followed by the launch of the SADC channels: Zambezi Magic and subsequently, One Zed.

Through this she quickly navigated the complexities of the broadcasting business leveraging her artistic vision to create compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
Over the years, Mosibudi played a pivotal role in shaping content that reflects African cultures and narratives, driving innovation through the channels she oversees.
